We strongly emphasize not just what we do but how we do it. Our physical therapists meet weekly to discuss, review, and educate each other regarding treatment approaches. In addition, continuing education courses outside Helena are attended yearly to learn new, cutting-edge approaches to rehabilitation. Additionally, Fischer Physical Therapy therapists have developed substantial innovative approaches and techniques that you will not find anywhere else. In 2006, we developed a Corporate Wellness Program. Any business looking to improve productivity and morale while decreasing stress in the workplace should take interest. We believe this will give businesses a competitive edge. Below you will find our treatment approaches grouped by category. As you scroll further, you will see common conditions we treat. ADVANCED MANUAL THERAPY - A passive treatment technique in which the therapist's hands are skillfully used to examine and treat musculoskeletal problems, including muscle tension and myofascial scar/joint restrictions.
THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE - Used to promote strength, core stability, joint range of motion, balance, and endurance. We commonly prescribe gentle exercises that promote joint mobility and reverse muscle imbalance (tight, shortened, and weak muscles). Patients routinely receive home exercise programs as part of their rehabilitation program to compliment skilled hands-on work.
MODALITIES - Technology that utilizes heat, electricity, and sound waves or cold to enhance manual treatment effects and facilitate pain reduction.
PATIENT EDUCATION - Instructing patients about their conditions and what needs to be done to minimize symptoms, maximize functioning, and decrease reoccurrence is an integral part of each patient's physical therapy program. We place special emphasis on achieving long-term results that can be maintained independently if possible.
